Subject: Ministerial Gazette of the South African Boxing Regulations
Boxing South Africa (BSA) wishes to formally inform all boxing licensees, the broader boxing community, and the public that the Minister of Sport, Arts, and Culture, the Honourable Gayton McKenzie, has officially gazetted the South African Boxing Regulations.
This significant milestone follows a period of intra-sectoral consultation on the draft amendments to the 2004 Boxing Regulations, which were shared with the boxing fraternity in August 2025. The publication of these regulations marks a critical step in the repositioning and ethical development of the fistic sport in South Africa.

Accessing the Regulations:
The regulations were published in the Government Gazette, which can be accessed via the Government Printing Works (GPW) website. The GPW is the custodian of government publications, including all official gazette notices.
