Weekend Wrap
Two IBF international bouts were on the menu as Hlula Dladla Boxing Promotions hosted a seven-bout tournament as both, Lindelani and Nkosingiphile Sibisi emerged victorious in Estcourt, KwaZulu/Natal on Saturday, 11 October 2025.
The current South African Flyweight champion, Nkosingiphile Sibisi (50.80kgs) vs Longyi Hu (50.45) both made weight on Friday for the Flyweight strap. The KwaZulu Natal born went to the bout with step on his heels having impressively won ten (10) of his ten (10) bouts since turning professional in 2022. He had no problems dispatching Longyi Hu via unanimous points decision over ten (10) rounds for the main event in front of a packed Estcourt.
Earlier, for the main supporting event, UFS graduate, Lindelani ‘TWT’ Sibisi from Dundee, who has shown his passion covering local boxing on social media, and holds National Featherweight title beat Keisham Singh from India via unanimous points decision, in what was an entertaining ten-rounder.
The tournament saw few boxer get to cut their teeth in professional boxing; sister to Lindelani Sibisi, Lethokuhle ‘Danone’ Sibisi who was part of the three member SA Team that participated in the IBA World Championships, won via points against Pamela Matunga.
Zekhethelo Dladla, not only the Pride of Estcourt as the only professional boxer in town, but a son to boxing promoters, brushed aside the pressure on his debut dropping his more experienced opponent twice in the second round before the referee stopped the bout. Mcheni Briton had no chance against the local lad that was not about to let his hometown down.
