Prof. Steve Cornelius

Head of the Department of Private Law and Director of the Centre for Intellectual Property Law and an admitted Advocate of the High Court of South Africa.

Has served on the Disciplinary Tribunal of the International Association of Athletics Federations and is a member of the Independent Doping Hearing Panel of the South African Institute for Drug-free Sport.

Adv. Matlalepule Rantho

An Advocate of the High Court of South Africa and currently a member of the Pan African Bar Association of South Africa.

Mr. Elton De Bruin

Elton is a Managing Partner at Modise Matlou Thipe Attorneys. His practice includes Commercial law (Mergers & Acquisitions), Sports law, Telecommunications law, Regulatory law & Compliance. He has acted for various clients before courts and tribunals.

Mr. Johan Van Gaalen

An attorney specialising in Sports, Entertainment and Labour Law. Over the years he has built up an impressive list of well-known Sports and Entertainment clients and has been involved in international conferences on the topic of Sports Law. He is a member of the FIFA Players’ Status Committee and FIFA Dispute Resolution Chamber.

Mr. Dennis Sibuyi

Head of the firm and attorneys at DMS Attorneyscommercial law and corporate transactions. He is a member of the Disciplinary Committee of the National Soccer League and has written and published various articles on corporate law and commercial litigation.

Mr. Michael Murphy

Legal Counsel at the National Soccer League and has specialised in sport and entertainment law and also has a particular interest in constitutional matters and employment law.

He led the team of attorneys that assisted Boxing South Africa with formulating the current Boxing South Africa rules on misconduct, the Disciplinary Committee and Arbitration Tribunal.
